Purchase Program -
3 Ways to Play
Artley's provides
parents of beginning orchestra students an opportunity to purchase, rent-to-own,
or simply rent an instrument to use while enrolled in their local string
orchestra program.
Purchases
A purchase
immediately paid in full by credit card, check, or cash is the most economical
way to acquire a student-quality instrument.
You receive the following:
- Always at least 20% off
the list price of an instrument
- Artley’s 50% trade-up
allowance* on future instrument purchases
- Optional Replacement &
Comprehensive (ORC) insurance** available.
Rent-to-own Program
A student-quality instrument may be purchased over
a period of time. Pay only 10% down with the option of paying the balance
in 12 or 24 monthly payments – your choice! Subsequent payments are due
on the first day of each month.
- No interest or finance
charges ever!! - late payment charges will apply
- Artley’s 50% trade-up
allowance* on future instrument purchases
- Optional Replacement &
Comprehensive (ORC) insurance** available
- You may use an instrument
on a continuing basis until the purchase price is paid in full or until
it is returned. The instrument
may be returned to Artley’s at any time with no further obligation or
any penalty, provided all payments are current. All prior payments are
considered as instrument rental and remain with Artley, Inc.

Rentals
A
student-quality instrument may be rented on a monthly basis for as long
as it is needed.
Prices below include all taxes & insurance.
- Violin ------- $20 per month
- Viola ------- $25 per month
- Cello -------- $45 per month
We are now offering even
more savings for those who take advantage of our optional 6-month or 12-month
"up front" payment plans. You can rent a violin for as low as
$12.50 a month! Contact us for
details.
If you decide to purchase instead of rent, Artley Violins will allow the
first full year of rental payments to be applied toward the price of your
instrument, less any taxes or ORC coverage.

*The trade-up allowance of student instruments purchased
from Artley,Inc. is always at
least 50% of the cumulative equity accrued, less tax or other charges,
assuming that the instrument has not been damaged. The 50% trade-up allowance
is a credit toward a trade for either a larger-sized instrument or one
of higher quality.
** Optional Replacement & Comprehensive
(ORC)
is a unique replacement, service, and repair coverage that we offer to
our customers for their protection and peace of mind.
The monthly cost of this coverage is an additional $2.50 for violins
and violas, and $5.00 for cellos.
Coverage includes:
- Replacement of the instrument
at no extra charge in case of loss by fire, theft or accidental damage.
- Repair of any major damage
to the instrument, including replacement of parts at no charge.
- Adjustments and repairs
to keep the instrument in proper playing condition (does not include
restoration of finish or replacement of expendable accessories; i.e.,
strings, rosin, or bow rehairs).
Coverage does not include:
- Damage caused by heat.
- Damage incurred while
using any kind of public transportation.
- Any malicious damage (such
as cosmetic scarring).
Note: Repairs for your instrument will be at the discretion
of Artley, Inc. as to whether they are needed and acceptable under our
ORC coverage rules listed above.
